Clitoral Hood Reduction in Busan

Clitoral hood reduction (hoodoplasty) removes some of the skin fold that covers the clitoris. It is often done together with labiaplasty. This page explains the procedure, its risks and what to ask a surgeon in Busan.

What it is

The clitoral hood (prepuce) is a fold of skin that protects the clitoris. In a hood reduction, the surgeon trims excess or redundant folds, usually from the sides, and closes the skin with fine stitches. The clitoris itself should not be cut. A separate medical issue: clitoral adhesions

What the procedure involves

It is generally an outpatient procedure under local anesthesia, sometimes with sedation. Expect swelling and tenderness for one to two weeks. Most surgeons advise avoiding sex and strenuous exercise for several weeks while the area heals.

Risks

The area is rich in nerves, so changes in sensation, including numbness or hypersensitivity, are a key risk. Others include bleeding, infection, scarring, asymmetry, and over-removal that leaves the clitoris exposed and sensitive. Choose an experienced surgeon and ask how many they perform.

Cost and insurance
