Common questions
Is this site a clinic?
No. We're an independent directory and don't give medical advice. Contact clinics directly using the details on each listing, or message us on WhatsApp if you're not sure where to start.
Can I buy the morning-after pill without a prescription in Korea?
No. In Korea the morning-after pill still needs a doctor's prescription, so the usual route is a quick visit to an OB/GYN clinic and then a pharmacy. See the morning-after pill guide for what to say and what to bring.
Is a Pap smear free in Korea?
For women aged 20 and over on National Health Insurance, national cervical screening is free every two years. Outside that, you pay the clinic's price. Details in Pap smear costs in Korea.
Can foreigners without insurance see a gynecologist?
Yes. Clinics see uninsured patients and charge their self-pay price. Ask for the price before tests are done. Our guide for foreigners explains how it works.
Do I need an appointment?
Most private clinics accept walk-ins, though Saturdays can be busy. University hospitals usually need an appointment and may ask for a referral letter (진료의뢰서) for insurance pricing.
Can I see a female doctor?
Yes, many Busan clinics have female OB/GYNs. See finding a female or English-speaking doctor.
What if it's an emergency?
Call 119 or go to a hospital emergency room for heavy bleeding, severe abdominal pain, fainting, or pain or bleeding in pregnancy.
Something on a listing is wrong. How do I fix it?
Tell us through the contact form or on WhatsApp. We check changes before publishing.
