OB/GYN Clinics in Sasang, Busan
Sasang-gu in western Busan is a transport hub, home to the West Busan Intercity Bus Terminal and a large industrial area with many foreign workers. This page lists OB/GYN clinics in Gwaebeop-dong and Jurye-dong.
Sasang for patients
Sasang combines a busy commercial center around the bus terminal and Sasang Station with residential neighborhoods such as Jurye-dong to the east. Its OB/GYN clinics are neighborhood practices offering everyday care: checkups, Pap smears, contraception, vaginal infections, menstrual problems and early pregnancy confirmation. Many foreign residents in the area work in factories or logistics, and Saturday hours can make it easier to fit a visit around shift work. For deliveries, high-risk pregnancy or surgery, the women's hospitals and university hospital around Gaegeum are only a few stops away.
Getting there
Sasang Station on Busan Metro Line 2 is also a transfer point for the Busan–Gimhae Light Rail, which connects to Gimhae and stops near the bus terminal. Jurye-dong is served by Jurye Station, a few stops east on Line 2 toward Gaegeum and Seomyeon. Buses and taxis are plentiful around the terminal.

Cost and insurance
Most employees in Korea, including foreign workers on employment visas, are enrolled in National Health Insurance (NHI) through their workplace. With NHI, symptom-based visits and tests are partly covered and you pay a co-payment. Screening packages and elective services may be self-pay. Without NHI, ask for a price first. Bring your ARC or passport.
Tips for foreign patients
- Call ahead to confirm hours, especially on Saturdays.
- If you work shifts, ask about the earliest or latest available appointment.
- The 1330 Korea Travel Hotline provides phone interpretation, and some migrant worker support centers can also help.
- See the international patients guide for NHI and payment basics.
